Craigslist, a household name in online classifieds, came to Kimera Studio with a bold request: to revamp their platform while retaining the simplicity and functionality that their users cherish.

The challenge was to modernize the user experience, improve accessibility, and make the platform responsive across all devices—all without alienating its loyal user base.

We started with in-depth user research to understand what Craigslist users love about the platform and what could be improved. From there, we crafted a new design language that honored the site’s minimalist roots while introducing contemporary UI elements, such as a cleaner layout, intuitive navigation, and a modern color palette.

Responsive design was a cornerstone of this revamp. Our team ensured that Craigslist’s new platform provided a seamless experience across desktops, tablets, and smartphones. User testing played a pivotal role in refining the design, ensuring it met the needs of all user groups.

The result was a revitalized Craigslist platform that retained its iconic simplicity while offering a vastly improved user experience, setting it up for continued relevance in an evolving digital landscape.
